People, Power, Purpose (P3) Summit 2017

The P3 Summit will draw approximately 150 health equity advocates, community leaders, grassroots organizers, policymakers, public health leaders, and many others who are organizing to fight injustice and create conditions that support equitable conditions for health and well-being for people of color in the United States. The Summit will focus on the application of health equity and anti-racism strategies to three core themes: Environmental Justice, Immigration, and Wage Equity.

Summit Objectives:

  • To draw on the collective knowledge and energy of allies across the nation who strive to stand in solidarity with and to elevate the voices of communities most affected by oppressive policies and practices.
  • To equip leaders across the national with knowledge, tools, and strategies to fight against the resurgence of racism, intolerance, and hatred in the current political context.

Experts from the field offer low-tech, skill-building sessions. The sessions will focus on the skills and knowledge needed to do equity and justice work.
